Animal Assistant Therapy

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) emerged as a popular and beneficial activity for students. This therapeutic approach allowed students to interact with their favorite animals, either virtually or in person, depending on the situation. By engaging with pets, students experienced comfort, emotional support, and a sense of connection, which helped alleviate feelings of isolation and anxiety caused by the pandemic.

The presence of animals provided stress relief, improved mental well-being, and promoted a positive environment for learning and personal growth. Whether through petting, playing, or simply observing the animals, this form of therapy created a calming and joyful experience for students, allowing them to develop coping mechanisms and enhance their emotional resilience.

In a time of uncertainty and social distancing, Animal-Assisted Therapy played a vital role in helping students maintain a sense of normalcy and emotional stability, contributing to their overall well-being and a more optimistic outlook on life
