In this rapidly growing world, Adolescents are uniquely vulnerable to Drug and Internet addiction. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the number of adolescents becoming addicted to drugs and social media. Studies show that all these problems have a detrimental impact on their Social, Physical and mental wellbeing. Recognizing the need of revitalizing the drug and internet addicted students AURA started Teenage De-Addiction Program in 2010. Over the years, AURA has successfully guided over 5000 children in Thrissur and Palakkad districts of Kerala from the brink of addiction back to normal life.

Intervention strategies:

-   Partnering with schools : Orientation to teachers

-   Group formation : Regular follow up meetings            

-   Residential camps : Counselling & Therapeutic interventions

-   Vocational guidance : Awareness Generation programme

-   Improvising children’s home atmosphere through parental training
